Football lovers most awaited sports festival has arrived. In next month of Jun 14 FIFA World Cup will begin and it will last for entire 1 month upto 15th of July. It is scheduled to take place in Rassia. Rassia was awarded to host this year world cup on 2 December 2010. This will be the first world cup held in Eastern Europe. Last time it was held by Germany in 2006. All the matches are held in Eastern Rassia, to keep travel time managable.
The final tournament will involve 32 national teams, which include 31 teams determined through qualifying competition and the automatically qualified host team. There are total 64 matches. All these matches will be played in 12 venues located in 11 cities. The final will be take place on 15 july at the Luziniki stadium in Mascow.
Total Winning prize is about 400 million USD. Winners of the tournament will be awarded with 38 million USD, 28 for runner ups and 24 for 3rd place. For 4th place 22 million USD, 5th to 8th place 16 million USD to each, 9th to 16th place 12 million USD to each and for 17th to 32rd place 8 million USD to each. Ya that's a lot of money.
